Towage of cars with the automatic transmission

The car engine with the automatic transmission cannot be started pushing or towage of the car.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To include ignition for unblocking of a steering wheel and for inclusion of indexes of turn, a sound signal and in need of screen wipers.
  2. As the brake amplifier functions only on the working engine, it is necessary to put bigger effort to a pedal of a brake.
  3. The lever of the choice of transfers in situation "N".
  4. On cars with the four-wheel drive blocking of differential should not be included.

Maximum speed of towage: 50km/h!

Maximum distance of towage: 80 km!

  1. For towage on longer distances a forward part of the car has to be raised, otherwise there will be damages of the transmission owing to insufficient lubricant.

Use of the towing car

Cars can be towed only on back wheels. Reason: At the raised back part the forward wheels rotating in the opposite direction would force to rotate planetary gear wheels of an automatic box with extremely high speed that would lead to serious damages of the automatic transmission.

On all-wheel drive cars besides have to be not loaded and back wheels, differently the intermediate differential will be overloaded. It is the best of all to ship the car or to use the cart.
