Brake system The brake system consists of the main brake cylinder, the brake amplifier, disk brakes of forward wheels and drum brakes of back wheels. At some models disk brakes are established as well on back wheels. The hydraulic brake system is divided into two contours operating diagonalno. One brake contour influences on right forward/left back wheels, other contour influences on forward left/back right wheels. At the expense of it at failure of one of contours, for example, because of leakage the car can be stopped by means of other contour. When pressing a pedal of a brake in the dual main brake cylinder pressure for both contours is created. The distributor of brake pressure which is switched on after the main cylinder provides that at sharp braking back wheels are not blocked. The compensation tank with brake fluid is in a motive compartment over the main brake cylinder and provides with brake fluid all system. The brake amplifier on the petrol engine accumulates a part of the low pressure made by the engine. If necessary force of pressing of a pedal increases at the expense of vacuum. As on the diesel engine of vacuum of absorption is not enough, low pressure for the brake amplifier creates the vacuum pump fixed behind on the generator. Disk brakes are equipped with floating supports. In a floating support only one piston, for pressing of both brake shoes to a disk is used. The emergency brake influences back wheels via the hummock drive. Blocks of disk and drum brakes are regulated automatically; the main adjustment is necessary only after repair at which the brake system understood. Depending on the MAZDA 323 model with 10/89g. the issue can be equipped with anti-blocking system (ABS). The works described here belong to all MAZDA 323 options, regardless of whether they have ABS or not. At a clearing of the brake system brake dust is kicked up. This dust can do harm to health. Therefore at a clearing of the brake system to watch that this dust was not inhaled. Brake shoes are defined for each model at the plant. Therefore it is recommended to use only company blocks recommended by MAZDA.
