Removal and installation of the fuel tank

Fuel tank (Injector engine)

1 — a cover of the fuel pump
2 — the plug of the fuel pump
3 — fuel hoses
4 — the fuel pump with the level sensor
5 — hoses of ventilation of a tank
6 — a hose of a jellied mouth

7 — a gasoline tank guard
8 — tape holders of a tank
9 — the fuel tank
10 — a jellied mouth of the fuel tank

The fuel tank depending on model and year of release can have volume from 48 to 55 liters and is made of sheet steel. It is located in the field of a back suspension bracket under a body.

Removal

At removal of the fuel tank a fuel quantity can act. Vapors of fuel are poisonous therefore it is necessary to provide good ventilation of the room. To avoid hit of fuel on skin. To work in toplivostoyky mittens.

Not to work near naked flame! To keep in readiness the fire extinguisher!


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To disconnect a weight cable from the battery.

At the same time data from memory of malfunctions of the engine or a protective code of the radio receiver are erased. Before shutdown of the battery it is necessary to read instructions in the Section Removal also installation of the battery.

  1. To remove a back seat, see the Head Kolesa and tires, a body, coloring of the car, care of the car.
  2. To unscrew a cover of the fuel pump and to switch-off the plug.
  3. To weaken hose collars and to disconnect fuel hoses. For simplification of installation to mark hoses with an adhesive tape.
  4. To lift the car.
  5. To turn out a drain stopper of the fuel tank and to merge fuel in a pure vessel. After fuel will flow down, to establish and tighten a drain stopper.
  1. To disconnect fuel, ventilating hoses and a hose of a jellied mouth. For simplification of installation to mark hoses with an adhesive tape.
  1. To unscrew a guard of the fuel tank.
  2. To unscrew bolts of fastening of tape holders of a tank, to slowly lower a tank.
  3. To check whether all pipelines and hoses are blocked. To take out the fuel tank.
  4. If it is required to remove a jellied pipe, to weaken a bolt of fastening and to remove a pipe down.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If it is removed, to establish a jellied mouth and to tighten a fastening bolt with effort of 10 Nanometers.
  1. To install the fuel tank, to put on a rubber hose of a bulk mouth the union at least on 35 mm and to fix by a new collar.
  1. To connect fuel and ventilating hoses according to marking.

All hoses have to be put on unions at least on 25 mm.

  1. To establish holders of the fuel tank and to screw them with effort of 50 Nanometers. To lay fuel-supply lines so that they were not flattened or bent.
  2. To establish a guard of a tank and to screw 10 Nanometers with effort.
  3. To lower the car.
  4. To connect fuel-supply lines to the fuel pump according to marking and to fix by collars.
  5. To connect plugs of the fuel pump and to screw a pump cover.
  6. To establish a back seat, see the Head Kolesa and tires, a body, coloring of the car, care of the car.
  7. To connect a weight cable to the battery.
  8. If are available, to determine time on hours and to set a protective code of the radio receiver.
  9. To check work of the index of level of fuel for dashboards.
