Removal and installation of the battery

At shutdown of the battery data from memory of malfunctions of the monitor двигатея, anti-blocking system, and also other constantly working devices are erased (for example, the radio receiver and hours). Before shutdown to consider data from memory of malfunctions. Some radio receivers have a protective code. The coding prevents unauthorized turning on of the receiver after power off. It is powered off, for example, at shutdown of the battery, at removal of the radio receiver or at failure of a safety lock. If the radio receiver is coded, before shutdown to define a protective code. If the code is unknown, only the producer can turn on the receiver.

  1. To switch off ignition and lighting of the car. Thanks to it damages of electronic monitors are prevented (for example, the engine monitor).
  2. To open a cowl. The battery is in a motive compartment on the left side.
  1. To disconnect cables from the battery, at first a cable of the weight-1-, then a plus cable-2-. Previously to remove a rubber cap-3-. Near poles of the battery the corresponding badges + are squeezed out and —.
  1. To unscrew and take out a bracket of fastening-4-.
  2. To take out the battery.

The battery contains toxic agents therefore it should not be thrown out with household garbage. Old batteries should be handed over in special points.

  1. Before installation to smooth out battery poles, the brush from a brass wire for this purpose approaches. For protection against corrosion to cover poles with special lubricant, for example lubricant for BOSCH poles.
  2. To insert the battery.
  3. To establish and to slightly screw a fastening bracket.
  4. To connect a plus cable to a plus pole of the battery, a weight cable to a minus pole of the battery.

Incorrectly connected battery can lead to considerable damages of the generator and electric equipment.

  1. To put on a polymeric cap a plus pole.
  2. If it is required, to program the radio receiver.
  3. To determine time on hours.
