Removal and installation of the fuel pump

On cars with the injector engine the fuel pump together with the fuel level sensor is on the holder in the fuel tank.

At removal of the fuel tank a fuel quantity can act. Vapors of fuel are poisonous therefore it is necessary to provide good ventilation of the room. To avoid hit of fuel on skin. To work in toplivostoyky mittens. Not to work near naked flame! To keep in readiness the fire extinguisher!

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To disconnect a weight cable from the battery.

At the same time data from memory of malfunctions of the engine or a protective code of the radio receiver are erased. Before shutdown of the battery it is necessary to read instructions in the Section Removal also installation of the battery.

To remove the fuel level sensor, see the Head the Power supply system, the carburetor, system of injection of fuel, the Section Removal and installation/check of the sensor in the fuel tank.
To shoot the film of fastening from the holder and the fuel pump.
To unscrew fastening from the holder.
To remove a rubber damper.
To switch-off the plug of the fuel pump.
To take out fuel pumps from fuel-supply lines.
To take out the pump from fastening from below.
To remove the fuel filter.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To install the fuel filter on the new fuel pump.
To install a rubber damper on the new fuel pump.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To cover new consolidation of round section with a thin butter layer and to put on the fuel pump.
To insert the fuel pump into fuel-supply lines.
To connect plugs of the fuel pump.
To establish and screw fastening.

It is strong to press the fuel pump with a rubber support in fastening.

To fix the pump on the holder by a fixing tape.
To install the fuel level sensor, see the Head the Power supply system, the carburetor, system of injection of fuel, the Section Removal and installation/check of the sensor in the fuel tank.
To connect a weight cable to the battery.
If are available, to determine time on hours and to set a protective code of the radio receiver.
