Mechanical transmission: Check of level of oil

The following details will be necessary:

All-wheel drive cars: laying of a test stopper.
Gearbox oil according to the specification:
- Cars to 9/89 g of the issue: temperature is above -18 °C: API GL - 4 or GL - 5 SAE 90 or 80 W - 90, temperature is below -18 °C: ATF Dexron - II.
- Cars from 10/89 g of the issue: API GL - 4 or GL - 5 75 W - 90 or ATF Dexron - II (BP DOHC: only ATF Dexron - II).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To unscrew a bolt of fastening of a gear wheel of a shaft of a speedometer on the transmission.
To take out a gear wheel together with a speedometer shaft from a transmission case.
To wipe a gear wheel a pure rag and again to insert it.

To take out a gear wheel of a shaft of a speedometer and to consider indications of level of oil. It has to be between tags of F and L.

To insert a gear wheel of a shaft of a speedometer and to tighten a fastening bolt.

All-wheel drive cars

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To lift the car in horizontal position.
If is available, to remove a guard of the engine and transmission.
To visually check the transmission for tightness.

To turn out a test stopper (depending on the direction of the movement) from the forward party of a case of the transmission.

Level of oil has to be at height of a jellied opening. If necessary to add gearbox oil.
To establish a test stopper with new laying and to tighten 55 Nanometers with effort.
If is available, to establish a guard of the engine and transmission.
To lower the car.
