Check of gates of injection (injectors)

Gates of injection inject fuel falteringly, i.e. for one turn of the crankshaft a half of fuel absorption, necessary for one step, is injected. At the same time the gate injects fuel in the form of a cone, and after dispersion is densely closed. Faulty gates of injection cause further work of the engine after switching off of ignition and interruptions in operation of the engine.

Work check


  1. To leave the engine to idle.
  1. To check each gate on the working engine by means of a stethoscope whether it clicks. These clicks are caused by opening and closing of the gate.
  2. If there is no stethoscope, it is possible to check operation of the gate the screw-driver or a finger.
  3. If noise from work is absent or has unusual character, it is necessary to check shtekerny connection, a signal from the monitor (it is carried out in a workshop) or resistance.

Check of resistance


  1. To switch off ignition.
  2. To switch-off plugs of gates of injection.
  3. To measure by an ohmmeter resistance of all gates of injection on sockets.

The required value: (all engines) 12-16 Ohms.

  1. If value does not correspond demanded, the gate of injection should be replaced.
  1. The special tools which are available in the company workshops MAZDA are necessary for check of a stream of injection and tightness of the gate.
