Anti-blocking system (ABS) Depending on model and execution of MAZDA 323 it can be equipped with anti-blocking system (ABS). The additional ABS installation is impossible. The anti-blocking system prevents blocking of wheels at sharp braking. Thus, the car at full braking remains operated. By means of 4 sensors of speed the speed of each wheel is measured. On the basis of signals of separate sensors of speed the electronic device calculates the average speed which approximately corresponds to car speed. Comparing the speed of a separate wheel to the average speed of all wheels the monitor defines a condition of skidding of a wheel and can determine the moment when the wheel is close to blocking. If the wheel is inclined to blocking, i.e. pressure of brake fluid in the corresponding support is too high in relation to the force of adhesion of a wheel with the road, the hydraulic system on the basis of a signal from the monitor keeps liquid pressure to constants. It means that pressure does not increase any more, despite pressing of a pedal. If there is a blocking threat further, brake pressure decreases opening of the final valve until the wheel does not start over again accelerating, then pressure is again supported to constants. Back wheels cope together, pressure in system decides by a back wheel on the greatest pro-slipping. If the wheel disperses quicker than a certain value, pressure in system increases, however, no more general pressure of all system again. This process for each wheel repeats until the accelerator pedal is released, or the car will not be in the state close to a stop (2-3 km/h). The protective system provides automatic shutdown of ABS at an exit it out of operation (for example, because of break of a cable) or at too low voltage (tension of the battery is lower 10,5 In). In this case during the movement the control lamp of ABS lights up. The ordinary brake system functions. The car when braking behaves as if it had no ABS. If during the movement the control lamp of ABS lights up, it means that the anti-blocking system is disconnected.
