Removal and installation of an instrument guard

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To disconnect a weight cable from the battery.

At the same time data from memory of malfunctions of the engine or a protective code of the radio receiver are erased. Before shutdown of the battery it is necessary to read instructions in the Section Removal also installation of the battery.

To remove a steering wheel, see the Head Podvesk and system of steering, the Section Removal and installation of a steering wheel.
To unscrew the top facing of a steering column and to take out it. Sedan/compact: To remove the lower facing of a steering column and the switch on a steering column.
To unscrew a speedometer shaft nut on the transmission and to take out a speedometer shaft.
To unscrew and take out a peak of an instrument guard.
9/85 — 9/89 g of the issue: To disconnect multicontact plugs from blocks of switches.
To weaken bolts and to carefully take out an instrument guard. To disconnect a shaft of a speedometer and all electric plugs from a reverse side, then to remove an instrument guard.

Installation

The hatchback from 10/89 g of the issue.

To connect multicontact plugs from a reverse side of an instrument guard.
To establish a speedometer shaft from a reverse side of a guard.
To insert and screw an instrument guard.
