Removal and installation of a gear belt / adjustment of the drive of the distributive mechanism
Usually the drive of the distributive mechanism is adjusted only in case of repair at which the gear belt is removed or the engine understands. If the drive of the distributive mechanism needs to be checked only, it is necessary to execute all working stages except replacement of a gear belt.
Removal
To 2/91 g of the issue.

- To block the engine and to unscrew bolts of fastening of a belt pulley of the crankshaft.
- For blocking of the crankshaft to include the 5th transfer and to ask the assistant to squeeze out a brake pedal.
- To remove a washer, a belt pulley of the crankshaft, and also the external and internal directing disks of a gear belt.

With 3/91 g of the issue.

|
- To unscrew bolts of fastening of a belt pulley of the crankshaft. To hold a pin of a belt pulley special MAZDA SST adaptation 49D011102.
- To take out the masloizmeritelny probe.
|
|
- To unscrew the lower and top casings of a gear belt.
|
- To remove glow plugs, see the Section Check of System of Preheat.

|
- To install the piston of the 1st cylinder in the provision of ignition. For this purpose to turn the crankshaft so that tags on a belt pulley of the crankshaft coincided with tags on a cover of a head of cylinders.
|
- For a provorachivaniye of the crankshaft to remove a forward wheel, to include the 5th transfer and to turn a wheel hands. Other opportunity to turn the crankshaft: To tighten the emergency brake and to install the transmission in neutral situation. To turn a crankshaft wheel through the right wheel arch by means of a face head.
| Not to turn the crankshaft a gear belt at all on a cogwheel of a cam-shaft or TNVD as the gear belt will be overloaded. |

After the piston of the 1st cylinder is in the provision of ignition, to install the transmission in neutral situation and to double-check whether tags on a belt pulley of a cam-shaft and a cover of valves coincide, if necessary to adjust. |
- If the old gear belt is established, it should be marked. On a belt it is necessary to put to the shooter, specifying the direction of rotation. The engine rotates clockwise.

- To weaken a bolt of a tension roller and to wring out a roller a key with an internal hexagon from a gear belt until the belt unloads. To tighten a bolt of a tension roller again.

- To take off a gear belt, after that not to change the provision of cogwheels.

If the cam-shaft is turned at the taken-off gear belt, any piston should not be in VMT. Otherwise there can be serious damages of pistons or valves. If it is necessary to turn a cam-shaft, to install all pistons on half level. For this purpose to apply with chalk the line from above on a belt pulley of the crankshaft (provided that the crankshaft is in the provision of VMT of the 1st cylinder), then to turn a belt pulley of the crankshaft on 1/4 turns (90 °) to the right or to the left. The mark will be turned now to the right or to the left. |

Installation
|
|
|
|
Not to bend and not to overwind a gear belt. Anyway to replace the polluted, damaged or worn-out belts. To check uniformity and ease of the course of a tension roller. |

|
|
|
|
- To check that all cogwheels were in the necessary situation, if necessary to establish. To observe instructions in the paragraph Removal for a provorachivaniye of shaft.

- To fix a belt pulley of TNVD by two bolts 35 mm long.
|
- To impose a gear belt. If the former belt is established, to impose it according to the put mark.
- To impose a gear belt.

- To unscrew the fixing bolts from TNVD.
|
|
Tension
|
|
- To weaken a bolt of a tension roller until it begins to press on a belt at the expense of spring force.
- To turn the crankshaft on two turns clockwise, so far lines of a cogwheel of a cam-shaft and a cover of a head of cylinders will coincide again. To check coincidence of all tags.
- To tighten a bolt of a tension roller with effort of 25 Nanometers.

- To turn the crankshaft on two turns in the direction of rotation and to double-check adjustment.
- To check a tension of a gear belt. At influence with a force of 10 kg between a belt pulley of a cam-shaft and a pulley of TNVD the belt has to be pressed through on 9,5 - 11,5 mm. Otherwise it is necessary to weaken once again a bolt of fastening of a tension roller and to tighten again.
- To screw the lower and top casings of a gear belt with effort of 10 Nanometers.

To 2/91 g of the issue: To establish a belt pulley of the crankshaft and a washer and to tighten fastening bolts with effort of 15 Nanometers.

With 3/91 g of the issue: To establish bolts of fastening of a belt pulley of the crankshaft. Holding a pin of a belt pulley special MAZDA SST adaptation 49D011102, to tighten a bolt with effort of 165 Nanometers.
