Replacement of maslootrazhatelny caps

All engines

The high consumption of oil can be caused by wear of maslootrazhatelny caps. Maslootrazhatelny caps on VZ, V5, V6 (SOHC), BP engines (SOHC) can be replaced without removal of a head of cylinders, in any case the special MAZDA SST tool 49B0210A0, and also a nozzle are necessary for compressed air (HAZET 3428). On other engines or if there is no special adaptation, it is necessary to remove a head of cylinders.

Removal

B6 (DOHC) engines, BP (DOHC) and diesel engine

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To remove a cam-shaft and dish-shaped pushers, see the Section Removal and installation of camshafts.
  2. To remove a head of cylinders, see the Section Removal and installation of a head cylinders/replacement of laying of a head of cylinders.
  3. To remove valves, see the Section Removal and installation of valves.

VZ, V5, V6 (SOHC), BP engines (SOHC)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To remove a shaft of yokes, see the Section Cam-shaft/drive of the Distributive Mechanism.
  2. To unscrew all spark plugs.
  3. To install the piston of the corresponding cylinder in the lower dead point (LDP). For this purpose at first to install the crankshaft in the situation corresponding to VMT of the piston of the 1st cylinder see the Section Removal and installation of a gear belt of VZ, V5, B6 (SOHC), BP engines (SOHC).
  4. If the piston of the 1st cylinder is in the provision of VMT, pistons of the 2nd and 3rd cylinders are in NMT. To mark a belt pulley from below with chalk, then to tighten the crankshaft on 1/2 turns (180 °) that the cretaceous mark was above. Now the piston of the 1st cylinder is in NMT.
  5. To screw in a nozzle for HAZET 3428 compressed air in a carving of a candle of the corresponding cylinder.
  6. If there is no special adaptation, it is necessary to make a nozzle for compressed air of an old spark plug. For this purpose to saw off an electrode of weight-1-. To break off the ceramic insulator-2-by means of the screw-driver and to break off an average electrode-3-. To beat out the remains of the central electrode together with an element-4-and a connecting finger a-5-suitable drift (a comment of 3 mm). At the same time to clamp a candle in a vice or to insert into a face head.

The carving of a candle should not be damaged in order to avoid the subsequent damages of a carving opening of a candle.


  1. To screw in the prepared candle in the corresponding cylinder and to connect a hose to the compressor of compressed air.
  1. To support constant pressure of 6 Bars in the cylinder.
  1. To screw the 1 and 5 MAZDA 49B0120A0 adaptation on basic arms and to squeeze by means of adaptation of a spring of valves.

The piston has to be in NMT.

  1. To take out valve crackers, to weaken springs of valves.

To weaken strongly sitting crackers easy blows of the hammer to mount.

  1. To take out cups and springs of valves.
  1. To take out maslootrazhatelny caps. For removal in workshops special adaptation (MAZDA SST49S120170, HAZET 791-5 or HAZET 791-2) is used. Old maslootrazhatelny caps sit very strongly. For removal whenever possible it is necessary to use an impact driver.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To pull a hand a maslootrazhatelny cap over a valve guide.
  1. By means of special MAZDA SST49L012001 and SST49L012002 adaptation to press a maslootrazhatelny cap a hand until adaptation concerns a head of cylinders. If there is no special adaptation, it is possible to use a suitable tube of the same diameter and not keen edges.
  1. To insert and squeeze cups of springs and a spring of valves.
  2. To insert crackers of valves, to weaken springs.

SOHC VZ, V5, V6 (SOHC), BP engines)

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To establish a shaft of yokes, see the Section Cam-shaft/drive of the Distributive Mechanism.
  2. To establish all spark plugs.

Engine of BP (DOHC) and diesel engine
