Removal

- To block the crankshaft and to unscrew bolts of fastening of a belt pulley of the crankshaft.
- For blocking of the crankshaft to include the 5th transfer and to ask the assistant to squeeze out a brake pedal.
- To remove a washer, a belt pulley of the crankshaft, the external and internal directing disks of a gear belt.

|
- To unscrew bolts of fastening of a belt pulley of the crankshaft. To hold a neck of a belt pulley special MAZDA SST adaptation 49 D 011102.
- To take out a core for measurement of level of oil.
|
|
- To unscrew the top, average and lower casings of a gear belt.
|
- To remove spark plugs, see the Head Vvedeniye.
- To install the piston of the 1st cylinder in the provision of ignition. For this purpose to turn the crankshaft that tags on a belt pulley of a cam-shaft coincided with tags on a cover of the distributive mechanism.
- For a provorachivaniye of the crankshaft to include the 5th transfer and to shift the car on a plain surface. Other opportunity to turn the crankshaft: To raise a forward wheel, to include the 5th transfer and to turn a wheel a hand.

After the piston of the 1st cylinder is in the provision of ignition, to install the transmission in neutral situation and to double-check whether tags on a belt pulley of the crankshaft and a cover of the drive of the distributive mechanism coincide. If tags coincide, not to turn more crankshaft at all. |
|
|
- If the old gear belt is established again, it should be marked. On a belt it is necessary to put to the shooter, specifying the direction of rotation. The crankshaft rotates in the direction clockwise.
|
- To weaken a bolt of a tension roller and to wring out a tension roller in the direction of an arrow until the gear belt is weakened. Again to tighten a bolt of a tension roller.

Installation

If the cam-shaft turns at the taken-off gear belt, any piston should not be in the provision of VMT. Otherwise there can be serious damages of pistons and valves. If it is required to turn the crankshaft, previously it is necessary to install all pistons on half height. For this purpose to put from above on a crankshaft cogwheel the line with chalk (a condition: the crankshaft is in the provision of VMT of the piston of the 1st cylinder), then to turn a crankshaft wheel on 1/2 turns to the left or to the right. The mark chalk is in horizontal position. |

- To be convinced that the cam-shaft is in the situation corresponding to VMT of the 1st cylinder. At the same time tags on a wheel of a cam-shaft and tags on a cover of the drive of the distributive mechanism have to coincide.
- To check whether tags on a cogwheel of a cam-shaft and the block of cylinders coincide.
- To impose a gear belt so that the branch between a wheel of a final cam-shaft and a wheel of the crankshaft was tense. If the old belt is established, to pay attention to the direction of its rotation.

At installation gear a belt the provision of distributive and cranked shaft should not change. Otherwise in the engine there can be serious malfunctions, or the engine will not develop the maximum power. |
|
|
- To be convinced that camshafts are in the situation corresponding to VMT of the 1st cylinder. At the same time tags on cam-shaft cogwheels have to coincide with tags on a cover of the drive of the distributive mechanism and a head of cylinders.
|
- At the same time tags on a cogwheel of the crankshaft and the block of cylinders have to coincide. Then the engine is in the provision of VMT of the piston of the 1st cylinder.
- To turn the crankshaft two times in the direction of rotation and to double-check coincidence of tags, if necessary to repeat adjustment.
|
|
- To turn the crankshaft in the direction of rotation to a tension tag which is approximately in 60 before mark VMT.
|
- To weaken a bolt of a tension roller that the roller adjoined to a belt.
- To tighten a bolt of fastening of a tension roller with effort of 45 Nanometers.
- Two times to turn the crankshaft in the direction of rotation and to double-check adjustment.
- To check a tension of a gear belt. The gear belt on the site between two belt pulleys of cam-shafts at influence with a force of 10 kg that corresponds to pressing by a thumb, has to cave in on 9 - 11 mm. If value does not conform to the requirement, it is necessary to weaken a tension roller and to tighten it again.
- To screw the top, average and lower casings of a gear belt with effort of 10 Nanometers.

- To establish the external and internal directing disks of a gear belt according to dredging on a crankshaft wheel. To consider adjusting situation.

- To establish a belt pulley of the crankshaft and a washer and to tighten fastening bolts with effort of 15 Nanometers.
