 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To check an axial side play of a cam-shaft. The required value:
    • VZ, V6 (SOHC) engines: 0, 04—0, 13 mm
    • Engines of BP (SOHC): 0, 06—0, 20 mm
    • VZE, V5, V6E engines: 0, 05—0, 18 mm
  2. If values do not conform to requirements, it is necessary to replace a persistent plate and, perhaps, also a cam-shaft.
  1. Holding a cam-shaft a key, to unscrew a bolt of fastening of a cogwheel of a cam-shaft. To remove a cogwheel, if necessary to bring down easy blows of the rubber hammer.

To remove a cogwheel of a cam-shaft it is careful not to lose the directing pin.


  1. To unscrew a persistent plate and to take out the camshaft through a distributor opening.
  1. To beat out an old epiploon of a cam-shaft by means of a drift.

At the same time the place of landing of an epiploon should not be damaged.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To grease the place of landing and an epiploon of a cam-shaft with a small amount of engine oil. It is careful to hammer an epiploon by means of a pipe of the same diameter into place. To hammer an epiploon so that it was level with a head of cylinders.

Not to warp an epiploon at installation.

  1. To grease all places of a support of a cam-shaft with a small amount of engine oil.
  2. It is careful to insert a cam-shaft into a head of cylinders through a distributor opening.

At a vdviganiye the shaft should not warp. To move carefully through an epiploon not to damage a working edge.

  1. To establish a cam-shaft so that the press plate could enter a cam-shaft groove. To screw a persistent plate with effort of 10 Nanometers.
  2. To insert the directing pin into a cam-shaft. To establish a cam-shaft wheel so that the directing pin entered gearing with a groove.
  3. Holding a cam-shaft a key to screw a cam-shaft cogwheel with effort of 60 Nanometers.

When keeping a shaft not to damage a head of cylinders a wrench.

  1. To check whether there are cranked and distributive shaft on tags of ignition of the 1st cylinder, if necessary to adjust, see the Section Removal and installation of camshafts.
  1. To tighten bolts of fastening of covers of bearings a dynamometer key in the specified sequence. The inhaling of bolts has to be carried out in two passes.
  • 1st pass: 15 Nanometers
  • 2nd pass: 25 Nanometers
  1. To clear a cam-shaft wheel of water and oil.
  2. To establish and pull a gear belt, see the Section Removal and installation of a gear belt of VZ, V5, B6 (SOHC), BP engines (SOHC).
  3. If is available, to install on a head of cylinders the mechanical fuel pump, see the Head the Power supply system, the carburetor, system of injection of fuel, the Section Removal and installation/check of the fuel pump.
  4. If the engine is not equipped with hydraulic pushers, to check a gap of valves, see the Section Check/adjustment of a Gap of Valves.
  5. To establish a cover of a head of cylinders with laying, see the Section Removal and installation of a head cylinders/replacement of laying of a head of cylinders.

  7. To screw the holder of the battery with effort 20 Nanometers.

Removal for the diesel engine 1, 7 of l

At the taken-off gear belt the wheel of a cam-shaft should not be turned, otherwise valves will encounter pistons.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To take off a gear belt, see the Head the Diesel engine.
  2. To unscrew a back casing of a gear belt.
  1. To remove springs of the shaking levers.
  1. To Zamarkirovat the shaking levers that at installation they could be established on former places.
  2. To take out the shaking levers from the places.
  1. To check an axial side play of a cam-shaft. The required value: 0, 02 - 0,18 mm. The most admissible axial side play: 0, 20 mm. If this value is exceeded, it is necessary to replace a cam-shaft and, perhaps, a head of cylinders.
  1. To unscrew a press plate-1-.
  1. To unscrew 3 basic arms - 2 cam-shafts and to remove together with a cam-shaft-3-.
  2. To remove a forward basic arm from a cam-shaft and to take out an epiploon-4-by means of the screw-driver.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Not to warp an epiploon at installation.


  1. To clear surfaces of a prileganiye of basic arms of dirt and oil.
  1. To apply on adjusting surfaces sealant, for example, of Hylomar.

Sealant should not be applied on an oil opening.

  1. To establish a cam-shaft together with basic arms.
  2. To tighten bolts of fastening of basic arms a dynamometer key from within outside. The inhaling of bolts is carried out in two passes.
  • 1st pass: 15 Nanometers
  • 2nd pass: 25 Nanometers
  1. To establish a persistent plate and to screw 10 Nanometers with effort.
  2. To install the shaking levers. To watch that levers correctly sat down on the places.
  3. To insert springs of the shaking levers.
  4. To establish a back casing of a gear belt and to screw 10 Nanometers with effort.
  5. To establish a spline and a cogwheel of a cam-shaft. For an inhaling of a bolt of fastening to hold a cam-shaft a wrench. Inhaling moment: 50 Nanometers.
