Grinding in of valves


  1. Even faultlessly processed saddles of valves and new valves have to be ground in to each other for optimum consolidation. It especially should be considered in diesel engines.
  1. Valves can get used only fine-grained grinding paste. For rotation on a plate of the valve the sucker is established. Formation of grooves at grinding in is possible to avoid, often taking out and turning the valve further.

After grinding in grinding paste should be removed completely.

  1. Process of grinding in is controlled by means of drawing on a contact surface of "Preussischblau" or "Bleiweiss", and also by means of fuel. To insert valves, to fill the combustion chamber with fuel, fuel should not follow to a valve guide. Otherwise process of grinding in should be repeated.
