Grinding in of valves

- Even faultlessly processed saddles of valves and new valves have to be ground in to each other for optimum consolidation. It especially should be considered in diesel engines.

- Valves can get used only fine-grained grinding paste. For rotation on a plate of the valve the sucker is established. Formation of grooves at grinding in is possible to avoid, often taking out and turning the valve further.
|
| After grinding in grinding paste should be removed completely. |
- Process of grinding in is controlled by means of drawing on a contact surface of "Preussischblau" or "Bleiweiss", and also by means of fuel. To insert valves, to fill the combustion chamber with fuel, fuel should not follow to a valve guide. Otherwise process of grinding in should be repeated.
