Discharge of a sediment of the fuel filter of the diesel engine / replacement of the fuel filter The special tool is not required.
The following spare details have to be bought:
-
Injector engines: 2 laying from copper.
- The fuel filter for the corresponding engine. Upon purchase to report year of release and model of the car.
Diesel engine
Discharge sediment/replacement of the fuel filter
The suitable vessel is necessary for collecting a sediment. | The following diesel fuel has to be removed at once from rubber details (hoses of cooling liquid), otherwise eventually rubber details will be destroyed. |
Discharge of a sediment
- To substitute a suitable bathtub under the drain union.
- To weaken a drain bolt a hand approximately on one turn.
- To pump over the manual pump (about 7 times) until unmixed diesel fuel begins to come out.
- To tighten a hand a bolt of removal of a sediment.
- After discharge of a sediment it is necessary to remove air from fuel system.
Replacement of the filter
- If is available, to switch-off the sediment level sensor plug.
- To weaken a tension bolt - the shooter - a collar of fastening of the fuel filter.
- To unscrew the fuel filter from the holder a special key and to remove it.
- If is available, to unscrew the sediment level sensor nippers for the water pump, to insert and screw it in the new filter.
- To cover new laying with diesel fuel and to establish it.
- To fill to the brim the filter with diesel fuel and to screw a hand.
- To remove air from fuel system.
- After commission of a trial trip to check tightness of fuel system.
Removal of air from fuel system
- To weaken a bolt of removal of air.
- To pump over the manual pump until in the speaker from a bolt of removal of air fuel vials of air do not disappear.
- To tighten a bolt at the pressed manual pump.
- To pump over the manual pump (about 15 times) until resistance is felt when pressing.
- To include preheat and then to start the engine.
- If the engine is not started pumping it is necessary to repeat.
- To check visually tightness of fuel system, especially connections of the fuel filter.
Carburetor engines
The fuel-supply line is in a motive compartment in the giving fuel-supply line. 2 clips will be necessary for shutdown of the giving and returnable pipelines. It is possible to use two clamps.
Removal
Not to work near naked flame. Flammablly! |
- To disconnect a weight cable from the battery.
- To press the giving and returnable pipelines before and after the fuel filter clips.
- To weaken hose collars and to disconnect pipelines from the filter.
- To take out the fuel filter.
Installation
- To put on pipelines the new filter and to fix by collars. The arrow on the filter specifies the direction of course of fuel.
- To remove clips.
- To connect a weight cable to the battery.
- If are available, to determine time on hours and to set a protective code of the radio receiver.
- After a trial trip to check tightness of connections.
Engines with system of injection
At removal of the fuel filter a large amount of fuel will follow, the suitable vessel is necessary for its collecting. Two rubber stoppers will be necessary for an overshoot of fuel-supply lines.
Removal
Not to work near naked flame. Flammablly! |
- To reduce fuel pressure.
- To disconnect a weight cable from the battery.
- To substitute a suitable vessel under the fuel filter.
- To slowly remove the lower fuel-supply line, previously having weakened a collar. To close the pipeline a rubber stopper.
- To allow fuel to flow down in a vessel.
- To unscrew the top connecting bolt and to remove a fuel-supply line with 2 - мя laying.
- To release the fuel filter from fastening.
Installation
- To insert the fuel filter into fastening.
- To establish the top connecting bolt with 2 laying and to tighten.
- To take out a stopper from the lower pipeline, to connect and fix it by a collar.
- To connect a weight cable to the battery.
- If are available, to determine time on hours and to set a protective code of the radio receiver.
- To connect the plug of the fuel pump.
- To establish a back seat, see the Section the Back seat.
- After a trial trip to check tightness of connections.
