Check of the switch on a current transmission

Most of consumers of the electric power join and switched off by the switches put in action by a hand. Also there are switches put in action automatically. The sensor of pressure of oil and the sensor of level of brake fluid belong to these switches, for example. Main objective of the switch short circuit and disconnection of a current contour. There are switches disconnecting a weight contour, and the switches disconnecting a plus contour.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To remove the corresponding switch.
  2. Simple switches have only 2 contacts for cables. In this case on one contact tension (+), and after inclusion and on other contact too always has to move. Also there are switches with several contacts. For these switches to determine by the scheme to what plug tension has to be put, if necessary previously include ignition.
  3. To check the indicator whether tension is put to the switch. If the lamp of the indicator burns, to turn on the switch and to check whether there is tension on the output plug. If tension is, so the switch is serviceable.
  4. If on the entrance plug tension is absent, in conducting there is a break. Wires should be checked according to the scheme, if necessary to lay a new wire.

Check of switches sensors

The oil pressure sensor, sensors of level of brake and cooling liquid belong to switches sensors, for example.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To connect the indicator or an ohmmeter to entrance and output wires of the sensor, for this purpose to disconnect cables on the switch.

The switches which are screwed in in the block of cylinders, as a rule, of the plug of weight have no as the pole of weight is served by the switch case.

  1. At the closed switch the indicator has to show course of current. Best of all the ohmmeter is suitable for check: At the closed switch it has to show 0 Ohms, at the opened sensor infinity of Ohms.
  2. Serviceability of sensors of level of the cooling and brake fluid most quicker can be checked, having disconnected at the included ignition a wire from the sensor, to close it on weight, for example, on the block of cylinders. If the alarm lamp on a guard of devices lights up, malfunction is concluded in the sensor.
  3. Special case — the oil pressure sensor: On the idle engine the contact is closed (the alarm lamp burns), the sensor is disconnected with a certain pressure of oil.
