Dismantling of a depreciation rack / removal and installation of the shock-absorber / screw spring

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To remove a depreciation rack.
  2. To remove a cap from a shock-absorber rod.
  3. The screw spring is compressed. For release of the shock-absorber the spring has to be compressed even more to unload spring cups. To squeeze a spring a suitable szhimatel.

The nut of the shock-absorber can be weakened only at the compressed spring.


  1. To clamp a support of a depreciation rack in a vice and to weaken a fastening nut on one turn by means of a face head or strongly curved cap key, not to unscrew.
  1. To squeeze a spring a standard szhimatel. In the workshops MAZDA special adaptation is for this purpose used. To squeeze a spring approximately on 10 mm.

To insert a szhimatel into a spring so that he reliably clasped rounds of a spring and could not come off. To squeeze a spring in three points which are evenly located on a circle. The screw spring is subjected to big extent of compression therefore it is necessary to use only the reliable tool. Not to connect a spring by a wire at all. Danger of accident.

  1. To unscrew a nut of fastening and to remove serially elements of a depreciation rack.

If replacement of a spring is required, it should be weakened slowly. If, on the contrary, only the shock-absorber has to be replaced, the spring remains in the compressed state. Check of the shock-absorber see in the Head Razborka of a back depreciation rack / removal and installation of the shock-absorber / a screw spring.

  1. To install the lower cup (to 9/89 g of the issue) and the compressed spring. To watch that the spring entered an emphasis of the lower and top cups.
  2. To put on the otboyny buffer a piston rod.
  3. To impose the top rubber ring and a cup of a spring.
  4. From 10/89 g of the issue: To impose press the bearing.
  5. To establish the top plate of fastening so that the tag was turned to the center of the car, see the Section Removal and installation of a depreciation rack.
  6. To clamp a fastening plate in a vice, having enclosed at the same time protective blocks. To tighten the new self-stopped nut on cars to 9/89 g of the issue with effort of 70 Nanometers, from 10/89 g of the issue with effort of 100 Nanometers.
  7. To put on a protective cap a shock-absorber nut.
  8. To slowly weaken a spring.
  9. To establish a depreciation rack.
