Check/replacement of a support of the cross lever / rotary fist


  1. To remove the cross lever and to check both rubber support for existence of cracks, damages and deformation.
  2. Replacement of a back rubber support: To unscrew a nut-7-, to remove a washer and the plug.
  3. To insert the new plug and a washer, to level perpendicularly to the lever. To tighten a nut of a rubber support with effort of 110 Nanometers.
  1. Replacement of a forward rubber support: To cut off a ledge of the rubber plug. Then to squeeze out the plug in a vice by means of a face head and a suitable pipe. In the workshops MAZDA instead of a tube special adaptation is used.

If the plug is not pressed off, it is necessary to heat it and to make an incision on an external contour for undervoltage.

  1. To moisten the new plug with a small amount of soap solution and to press from the forward party by means of special adaptation.
  1. To install the cross lever, see the Head Podvesk and system of steering.

Check/replacement of a spherical support


  1. Spherical support (= the sharovy hinge between the cross lever and a rotary fist) should be replaced if there is a notable side play or if the cuff is damaged.
  2. Check in an adjusting state: To lift the car.
  3. To move the lower lever a hand up-down. The spherical support should not have a notable side play. Exact check is possible only in the removed state.
  4. To unscrew a bolt and a nut-6-.
  1. To squeeze out a finger of a spherical support of a rotary fist by means of mount. To enclose fabric not to damage a cuff.
  1. To turn out bolts of fastening of a rotary fist on the cross lever and to remove a sharovy finger.
  1. To establish a dynamometer or a dynamometer key with the corresponding fastening. To turn a sharovy finger. To take readings of effort of overcoming friction force. The required value: from 1,8 to 3 1 Nanometers, otherwise to replace a spherical support.
  1. Replacement of a cuff: To clamp a spherical support in a vice and to bring down a cuff the hammer and a chisel.

To watch that the spherical support was not damaged.

  1. To grease cuff inside with a small amount of universal lubricant and to press a suitable tube. In the workshops MAZDA special adaptation is for this purpose used.
  1. To screw a rotary fist on the cross lever 2 bolts with effort of 110 Nanometers.
  2. To implant a sharovy finger into a rotary fist, to insert a bolt in front back and to tighten 60 Nanometers with effort.
  3. To measure and adjust the angles of installation of wheels.
