Preparation for painting


  1. Before painting to wash up the car to avoid dirt inclusions.
  2. To work only at temperatures over 12 degrees, but not at the open sun and not at strong wind.

Removal of a rust


  1. To paste over a contour of the place of repair with a protective tape (тезакрепп) that on imprudence not to damage a surrounding paint and varnish covering.
  2. To remove all the visible, and also hidden under bubbles rust with a triangular file or the screw-driver, and also a rough emery paper with grain 120.
  3. To smooth out edges around the damaged place with calling on 1-2 cm on the intact surface sanding paper with grain 320.
  4. Galvanized details of a body should be smoothed out whenever possible only to soil, but not to a zinc covering.

Putting anticorrosive primer ("Primer")


  1. To clear the place of repair of dust and fat nitrosolvent and a pure rag and to allow to dry.
  2. To avoid problems of incompatibility, "Primer" has to be the same manufacturer, as the applied paint. Otherwise paint will bubble and screw up the face.
  3. To spray "Primer" of ohms from distance about 25 cm very narrow, but covering a surface stream. To avoid hit of aerosol fog on surrounding surfaces, to close them a protective tape and newsprint.
  4. In 10-15 minutes of airing it is possible to repeat spraying. If in the place of repair has to filling is applied, before "Primer" has to dry out well.


2 types of fillings differ: two-component filling and thin filling. Two-component filling mixes up before processing and a zatverditel. It quickly hardens and demands bystry application. It is used for alignment of big roughnesses of metal. Thin filling is viscous which levels small surfaces. It can be imposed in several layers. Both types of filling are available in tubes and in banks, thin filling happens also in aerosol package.

Though on banks of filling the recommendation of direct putting filling on metal is often written, preparation of ohms by anticorrosive "Primer" is anyway expedient.


  1. To apply two-component filling on the place aligned or stuck with fibreglass and to allow to harden. To observe recommendations of the manufacturer.
  2. After hardening of roughness to smooth out manually or a vibroshlifovatel. At the same time to use sanding paper with 180 grain. Now it is possible to apply also waterproof sanding paper. In this case from time to time it is plentiful to moisten the place of repair with water (sponge).
  3. In conclusion carefully to wipe the place of repair and to allow to dry.
  1. By means of a wide elastic plastic shovel to apply a thin film of filling to the place of repair and to allow it to harden within not less than 2 hours. On big curves and contours putting filling from aerosol package is recommended.
  1. Depending on thickness of the put layer thin filling has to dry out from 2 to 3 hours.



  1. Sanding paper happens to various size of grain. The number is less, the paper is more rough. For grinding of two-component filling grain from 180 to 240 is recommended; the filling filling and old paint are smoothed out with water grain 360. For the last stage of grinding with water sanding paper with grain 600 is recommended.
  1. To grind the puttied places paper with grain 360, holding at the same time it is constant over the place of repair a sponge. From time to time to immerse a sponge in clear water.
  1. Special waterproof honing paper with grain 600 best of all suits for the subsequent damp thin grinding, at the same time also the surrounding surface is polished. At the same time to grind only in the direction of the longitudinal size of the car; at the same time residual small scratches from grinding in the covering paint are less noticeable.



  1. Before a covering paint the ground surface, and also a surface around it on width two palms has to be exempted from traces of fat and silicone. Best of all for this purpose the silicone eliminator is good.
  2. After grinding carefully to clear the place of repair and very precisely to paste over all surrounding parts of the car with newsprint and the pecking tape. When coloring wings to protect also wheels and shock-absorbers.
  1. To try to paste over the place of repair so that the painted surface would always be limited to the next molding or edge of a body as on edge of an obkleyka there is a hillock from paint in case gradual transition of color to original coloring is imperceptible, to paste over at distance from the place of repair in width of two palms.
