Removal and installation/adjustment of a cowl

MAZDA 323 from 10/89 g of the issue.

1 — a water hose of windscreen washer
2 — the hinge
3 — a cowl
4 — facing

To remove details in the sequence. Previously to disconnect a weight cable from the battery.

At the same time data from memory of malfunctions of the engine or a protective code of the radio receiver are erased. Before shutdown of the battery it is necessary to read instructions in the Section Removal also installation of the battery. After installation of the battery to connect a cable of weight and if are available, to determine time on hours and to set a protective code of the radio receiver.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To open a cowl.
  2. To remove the giving hose snuffled windscreen washer.
  3. To mark the adjusting provision of a cowl, for this purpose to lead round nuts or bolts on hinges a felt-tip pen.
  1. To turn out bolts/nut on the hinge and to remove a cowl. The help of the assistant is for this purpose necessary. Before weakening of bolts of the hinge to put between a cowl and a body fabric for protection of varnish surfaces.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To establish a cowl, to screw nuts/bolts, to level a cowl and to tighten bolts.
  2. To put on a hose snuffled a screen wiper.

 Adjustment of a cowl

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To weaken bolts on the hinge of a cowl and to tighten so that the cowl could be shifted. To adjust a cowl according to the specified sizes. On cars with 9/85 on 9/89 g of the issue to level a cowl so that it was in parallel and at identical distance from all the elements located around.
  1. To weaken both bolts of fastening of the lock of a cowl so that the lock still moved. Sedan/compact
  1. To shift the lock so that the closed cowl was level with wings and the locking hook reliably entered a locking bracket of a cowl. To tighten bolts with effort of 10 Nanometers, nuts with effort of 25 Nanometers.
